Once an esteemed writer asked me if I’m a spy, sitting at Veselka. I Want to Show You More, the title of a professor’s book is also befitting. EMK is the advance-planner of a work; anything spied upon is first seen as the makings of a story. Sometimes I read from the story at an open-mic.

EMK is a name I’ve made for myself whose backstory spans NYC, Mexico City, Cairo, São Paulo and Tennessee. It started as minor graffiti, stickers co-designed with artist friends: Adham Bakry (Egypt), Gustavo Marcasse (Brazil), and Jakub Szczęsny (Poland). Besides sticking stickers, EMK writes and performs interventions.
